Mountlake Terrace Parade
A Grand Community Celebration!
The MLT Parade is a beloved tradition that brings the Mountlake Terrace community together for a spectacular display of creativity, pride, and fun! Families, friends, and neighbors line the streets to cheer on the marching bands, classic cars, local organizations, and spirited performers. It’s the perfect way to kick off a weekend of festival fun!
Parade Route: The parade starts at 234th Street Southwest, moves northbound along 56th Avenue West through the heart of Mountlake Terrace, and ends at Evergreen Playfield Complex located at 222nd Street Southwest. Bring your chairs, find a good spot, and enjoy the show!
What to Expect:
Colorful Floats & Marching Bands – Local businesses, organizations, and schools bring their best to impress the crowd with vibrant displays and music.
Classic Cars & Specialty Vehicles – Get up close to vintage automobiles, emergency service vehicles, and unique rides from across the region.
Community Groups & Performers – Dance teams, cheer squads, and cultural groups showcase their talents in this high-energy event.
Heroes on Parade – Watch as our local first responders, veterans, and community leaders take center stage!

Parade Entry Details:
- Entry Fee: $200 for commercial entries, $25 for community groups & non-profits

Are you participating in more than one parade this year? The 2025 Dave McKay Solstice Parade Art Grant Application is available to be used for building your float to participate in the Solstice Parade. You can use that float can be used in other parades.
The Dave McKay Solstice Parade Art Grant supports artists in creating dynamic, community-driven art for the Fremont Solstice Parade. Honoring celebration artist Dave McKay, this grant fosters creative self-expression and craftsmanship in public performance. Funding is available for the design and creation of art projects that transform the streets into theater! This opportunity is open to artists, individuals, groups, and community organizations looking to assemble an ensemble or create a mobile piece for the Fremont Solstice Parade.
Fremont Solstice Parade Rules:
- No written or printed words or logos
- No animals (except service animals)
- No motorized vehicles (except wheelchairs)
- No real weapons or fire
